Weekend League Preview: Rob Usry

The second installment in the series.

Rob Usry

First and foremost, I think it's important to note that I am a habitual squad tinkerer. I don't think I've ever used the same squad from week to week. This week I'll be using a French/Ligue 1/PL squad. I'll start off in the 4-3-2-1 for chemistry purposes then switch to the 4-1-2-1-2 Narrow in-game to have Martial and Lacazette at striker with Di Maria at CAM.

For my money, Martial is the best value of coins this year. He's a phenomenal player. I chose to use him this weekend of POTM Eden Hazard. Also, Lacazette's SBC card is very good too. He has such a well-balanced card. If you can swing the coins you should get him.

Believe it or not this is still my "budget" team. Once Team of the Year approaches and the market inevitably dips I will try to build a dream team around Ronaldo. Paul Pogba just happens to be in there because I packed him and am waiting for his price to recover before selling him.

Kante and Matuidi join him in the midfield. All three are capable of defending and joining the attack. Kante is just as valuable as Martial for the coins. If you're looking to win games, you can't do much better than having both in your squad.

On the back line I wanted to give my SBC a cards a chance. At the expense of the ever-reliable Chris Smalling I inserted SBC Perrin into my team and haven't been disappointed. He's a rock in the back.

For now, this is squad will do in the Weekend League.
