EA continue to throw curveballs at us with respect to the FUT 17 Team of the Year release calendar.
First, we had forwards out for two days first (in previous years, they’d been last and only available by themselves for 24 hours on Fridays). Second, we had midfielders, which while normal, were only available for 24 hours and not their usual 48.
Now, the four defenders and goalkeeper, Bayern Munich’s phenomenal Manuel Neuer, will be in packs until Monday at 1 p.m. ET. Per an in-game message, it’s expected the full TOTY will be available from Friday at 1 p.m. ET (6 p.m. GMT) all the way through the weekend:

Traditionally during Team of the Year, we’ve had all eleven players in packs for the two weekend days. EA appear set to capitalize by having them available for the entire weekend this go around.
If you haven’t already, it’s time to start stacking FIFA Points for the weekend or finishing SBCs/drafts to get your packs on lock for the festivities.
Courtesy of the overeager FIFA Turkey account, here’s the stats on Manual Neuer, Real Madrid’s Marcelo and Sergio Ramos, Juventus’ Dani Alves, and Barcelona’s Gerard Pique:
