In-form Ousmane Dembele is the most enjoyable player in FUT 17

I fell in love this weekend.

What started out as a Weekend League set around a 4 million coin team ended up with 4 million coins blown on Team of the Year packs (not recommended) and an unexpected new favorite player to play with in Ultimate Team.

I happened to notice that during the fourth week of January there are Weekend League squad requirements. No more than five players from one league allowed. So, as most people do, I decided to build a French team. I already have the 87 rated SBC Alexandre Lacazette in my club so I wanted to build around him. My first purchase was the ever-reliable Anthony Martial for the Left Forward position in my 4-3-2-1. But who should go on the right side to complete my attacking trifecta?

Along your travels around the FIFA community you hear different opinions and experiences about buying certain players. I had heard mixed opinions on Ousmane Dembele’s 84 rated in-form card. With the French lacking many right sided options, I decided to give him a shot.

Within five minutes of my first match with him I was instantly smitten with this card. There’s really no scientific way of explaining him in-game. Many other cards have better stats or traits, but he’s just a blast to play with. His dribbling is so smooth that you want to take on every defender on the field anytime he touches the ball. His movement around the penalty area is a pain for the opposing team to try and deal with. Then when he gets the chance to score, his five-star weak foot is what dreams are made of. Finesse shots, power shots, low driven shots, it doesn’t matter. He usually finds the back of the net more often than not.

After blowing all of my coins on packs I’ve given up on the dream team route. It’s time to have fun and I’m so glad I decided to try out Dembele because now I can enjoy the players I’m playing with instead of trying to build the most ridiculous teams that are only going to lose to Ahmed Musa-led gold Premier League teams.

I promise this isn’t some elaborate way of getting you to buy him to increase his price. I don’t care if you buy him or not. I simply wanted to share my experience with a new card that I’m genuinely enjoying. In-Form Ousmane Dembele: The Most Enjoyable Player in FIFA Ultimate Team. Bar none.
