It’s been roughly two-and-a-half months since Matchday six of the Champions League wrapped up. The draw took place just under a week later, and EA still didn’t release anything following the banterific announcements.
Just look at how Bayern’s twitter account reacted before and after the draw. It couldn’t have been scripted.

We’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see how Arsenal respond. However, EA did finally follow through on doing something with the Champions League Round of 16 yesterday, as all four of their ‘Marquee Matchups’ featured teams competing in this week’s CL games.
Matchup, rewards, and price ranges
- SL Benfica vs. Borussia Dortmund, one Premium Gold Players Pack, 7.6k (PS4) and 7.4k (XB1)
- Bayern Munich vs. Arsenal, one Rare Gold Pack, 11.4k (PS4) and 12.05k (XB1)
- Legia Warszawa vs. Ajax, one Jumbo Premium Gold Pack, 7.3k (PS4) and 6.7k (XB1)
- RSC Anderlecht vs. Zenit St. Petersburg, one Jumbo Premium Gold Pack, 6.75 (PS4) and 6.55k (XB1)
Here are the current (literally, the latest) price ranges on FUTBIN’s website; they have a cool interactive tool that allows you to look at their community members’ cheapest combinations to complete the challenge, and also input your own SBC solution.
We’ve also included included this graphic from FUTBIN, which lets you look at all the SBC requirements for each challenge as well.

To be fair to EA, you’re shelling out a lot less than normal for these packs, which are worth way more in coins. Most players, and I mean a huge majority, won’t even have to pay as much if they’ve been saving their unwanted players for future SBCs.
And as always, there’s the chance you could get lucky with these packs.
