While FIFA 17 Ultimate Team partisans are still recovering from a grueling all-Premier League Weekend League, this FUT's Winter 'Ratings Fresh' stops for no one.
With Ligue 1 upgrades expected Tuesday, February 21 and La Liga Santander/Bundesliga upgrades shortly to follow, the best way to get ready for the next squad restricted WL -- this time with either La Liga or BL players only allowed -- is by keeping an eye on the names from those leagues which could grace the in-forms of FUT 17's Team of the Week 23, courtesy of FIFA community staple, Darren8196.
Though he didn't win this past year's Ballon d'Or, Lionel Messi remains in a class shared only with Cristiano Ronaldo as he willed a struggling Barcelona past lowly Leganes with a late game saving penatly, his second goal of the match. His 95-rated IF would be a game changer this coming weekend.
Mexico stalwart Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez seems certain to make this week's squad after an unlikely snub a week ago. His two goals in addition to a Bundesliga Team of the Week nod following Leverkusen's 3-1 win over Augsburg all but confirms it.
Though "Calcio A" upgrades and downgrades have come and gone, Juventus' Paulo Dybala, a two-goal/one assist man of the match and Napoli's Lorenzo Insigne, fresh on the heels of a one goal, one assist and 7.5 rating garnering performance in a 3-1 win, should both see new ratings boosted special cards as well.
One shouldn't forget Borussia Dortmund dynamo Lukasz Piszczek. BVB's Polish staple had a hand in all three goals in a 3-0 domination of Wolfsburg, adding his name to the BL's Team of the Week for his one goal, two assist showing.
Real Madrid CM Isco and the first Winter Ones To Watch boost for Sevilla transfer striker Stevan Jovetic round out Darren's in-form predictions (you can also check out his full squad via the Futhead Squad Builder). The full Team of the Week 23 will be announced Wednesday, February 22 at 10 a.m. ET (3 p.m. GMT):
