In this series, I will be creating squads for you to use in the Weekend League or Daily Knockout Tournaments. These squads will meet the requirements of these tournaments and competitions that they were built for, and will be divided up into tiers based on their prices.
Today, we’ll be looking at the daily knockout tournament (DKT) that kicks off on the 26th of April.
DKT (April 26th)
Prizes: 700 coins, Premium Gold Pack, and Entry into the Weekend League.
Requirements: Minimum of 15 Common + Rare Players in your Starting XI and Subs, Max Overall Rating of 82, and Exactly Gold players in your Starting XI and Subs.
The combination of a restriction of special cards, and the cap on squad rating, all point towards using squads built around the overpowered players in FIFA 17.
The squads will feature a lot of players in common, as these are the best overpowered players in the game.
Squad 1 - 20K

The first team I’ve made for today is in the False-9 formation, and it features some of the most overpowered players in the game. It features a trio of Napoli players making up the defensive backbone of the squad, a Bundesliga left-side (of course we have Renato Sanches), and then a PSG-heavy Ligue 1 right-hand side. Ben Arfa is one of the best players I’ve used this year, and he’s definitely going to be the star of this team.
Squad 2 - 60K

The second team we’ve built is in my new favorite formation - the 4231(2). Its strike-force features the best player in the game (the young French forward himself, Anthony Martial), along with Lacazette and the new SIF Thauvin (who is absolutely incredible for his price). The midfield consists of Ben Arfa (he’s going to be in every squad today) and the dynamic duo of Herrera and Parolo. Finally, the defense is a BPL/Calcio A mix, with Rose, Ogbonna, Tonelli and Florenzi making up the backline, and Perin (whose reflexes are incredible) in goal.
The one downside to including players like Lacazette and SIF Thauvin is that your bench is going to have to have a couple of 75-rated golds, just to drop the rating down to an 82.
Squad 3 - 100K
The final squad is one I have used myself - it is incredible in-game, and I’ve held and won Division 1 with it.

We’ll start at the back. Butland is one of the best keepers in the game, and the two CBs in front of him (Smalling and Manolas) are amongst the best in their positions. In Clichy, you get a fast and defensively solid LB, and Florenzi is an all-round god. The midfield has two of the most effective midfielders in the game in Kante and Nainggolan, as well as an attacking and creative force in Ben Arfa. Finally, we have Lacazette and Martial in the attack, and Lucas completing the strike force.
