Tough to know what to make of all of it, but there’s some serious smoke around both announcer Ray Hudson and more Alex Hunter content potentially coming to this current FIFA release.
Producer/mixer Frederick posted a series of tweets Monday evening that makes it clear that he was recently working on both FIFA 17 as well as with legendary color commentator Ray Hudson.
Whether you love or can’t stand the iconic voice and find his seminal catch phrases hilarious or unbearable, the option to have Hudson call your in-game action seems like it’s coming to a FIFA game near you soon:
I get the chance to work with one of my favorite gaming companies tomorrow.

Frederick (and Hudson) both then posted a series of tweets that were later deleted. The tweets featured audio of Hudson making emphatic calls as well as photos of him in the studio. The remnants of the original embedded/since expunged tweets follow:

And here was Hudson calling an Alex Hunter scorpion kick, which was also later deleted:

Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek posted to Instagram last week when EA was visiting Stamford Bridge that he was partaking in an Alex Hunter related recording:
What will this potential Alex Hunter DLC include? Will Hunter make a Kante like jump to Blues after his big breakout season?
UPDATE, December 22, 1:13 p.m. ET: Sadly, it doesn’t seem like there’ll be a Hudson/Hunter DLC after all. You’ll have to settle for the video linked below:
