While Tielemans move to Monaco is a significant step up in competition for the young central midfielder’s next step in his career, he also ascends into heightened FUT relevancy in FIFA 2018. Tielemans is a fan favorite of many FIFA players, as his player develops into a dominant player Manager Mode after a few seasons.
The Belgian player’s FUT card, which has three versions in this year’s game, doesn’t make it’s way onto too many squads because of his lack of chemistry flexibility with his Pro League status. But that will all change next season when players are able to slide Tielemans into their Ligue 1 squads with ease.
Just a day ahead of his transfer to Monaco, FIFA rolled out a Tielemans TOTS card that is quite a staggering leap from his 77 rated gold card that launched with the game. Check out his insanely well rounded TOTS card stats including 99 shot power:

His excellent defensive and physical ratings for a CM make him versatile enough to play in a CDM role with the right chemistry card, but his shooting and passing stats make him a threat in the attacking half of the pitch.
While he likely won’t be in a lineup with Monaco phenom Kylian Mbappé as transfer rumors swirl about the teenager, Tielemans will be a major piece of Monaco’s efforts to defend their Ligue 1 title. And in FIFA 18, Tielemans could be a breakout FUT player popping up in squads from the game’s onset. He’ll likely receive a OTW card that should increase in value and overall as the season progresses.
